Magnifying power of a simple microscope is inversely proportional to the focal length of the lens. What then stops us from using a convex lens of smaller and smaller focal length and achieving greater and greater magnifying power?

Its highly impossible to make a convex lens of smaller and smaller focal length .

Reason :

Its not easy to make a convex lens having very very small focal length.

Spherical and chromatic aberrations are produced by convex lens having very small focal length.
