Most of the Helium present on earth has come from radioactive decay of heavy radioactive elements in the earth such as uranium, thorium etc.

The radioactive decay of such elements cause emission of alpha-particles, which consists of Helium-4 nuclei. The symbol of chemical element Helium is ‘He’ and atomic number is ‘2’. First in the group of noble gases, it is colourless, odourless, tasteless and an inert, monoatomic gas.
