Thrust is a force or a push. When a system pushes or accelerates mass in direction, there is a thrust ( force ) just as large un the oppsite direction. In math and physics , this is described by Issac Newton 's thord law of motion

Answer:

Two main thrusts in Physics are :

(i) Unification is explaining diverse physical phenomena in terms of a few concepts and laws, e.g., same l aw of gravitation given by Newton explains planetary motion, motion of moons around a planet and a body  falling to the ground.

(ii) Reduction is deriving the properties of bigger, more complex system from the properties and interaction  of its constituent simpler parts, e.g., in thermodynamics, the temperature is related to the average kinetic  energy of molecules of the system.
