global warming is when there is excess carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere and other greenhouse gases such as methane and water vapour.

carbon dioxide traps heat in the atmosphere causing ice caps to melt causing higher sea levels.

this causes a high temperature which worsens many types of disasters such as storms heatwaves floods and droughts. it also changes weather patterns in such a way that wet areas become wetter and dry areas drier.

rising temperatures also worsen air pollution by increasing ground level ozone which is created when pollution from cars factories and other sources react to sunlight and heat.
