\large\textbf{Make\:hay\:while\:the\:sun\:shines}

It is an old age saying means gramatically it means that we should make hay only during the sunshine so that it may dry soon because if it is not sunny the hay may get wet and might rot also so we should make hay only during the sunshine.

Literally the proverb means that we should take advantage of the chance and do the work patthe spot if there is chance to do it.

It only suggests us to take advantage of the favourable the condition because who knows what is going to happen in future , the chance may also get declined so we should utilise that chance.

 \textbf{Expansion- Make hay while the sun shines.}

The meaning of this proverb is to dry grass etc. and make hay while the sun is shining. If a man fails to do so, he will not be able to make hay and will suffer.

In other words, it advises us to make full use of time and opportunity. Favourable opportunities are always few. If a man misses an opportunity, he loses. So one has to be alert and cautious. He should be alive to the time and opportunities. He should not be lazy to put off things fo future. Because, if opportunity is lost it can't be regained.

This proverb teaches us an important principle for success.
