THE QUESTION DEPENDS UPON WHICH ASSUMPTION YOU PREFER

let's assume that the discount is on market price

  • let the market price of product be x
  • thus 12.5% OF x =12.5*x/100
  • so discount=12.5*x/100
  • x-12.5x/100=2100
  • 100x-12.5x=210000
  • 87.5x=210000
  • x=210000/87.5
  • x=2400

so the market price will be 2400 if selling price is 2100 after 12.5% discount

let's assume the discount is on selling price 2100 so the market price is

  • 2100 - (2100*12.5/100)
  • 2100-262.5
  • 1837.5 rupees
