Marta bought 8 4/5 yards of fabric. She wanted to make a skirt using 3 7/8 yards, pants using 2 1/3 yards, a vest using 1 3/4yards. How much fabric she will have leftover after making all?

Total = 8 4/5

Used = 3 7/8 + 2 1/3 + 1 3/4

So total used  = 6\frac{21 + 8 + 18}{24}

                       = 6\frac{47}{24}

                       = 7\frac{23}{24}

Therefore amount remaining is :

8 4/5 - 7 23/24

= 1\frac{96 - 115}{120}

= \frac{(120+96) - 115}{120}

= \frac{101}{120} yards of fabric remaining
