Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The perimeter of a rectangle=80m

So, 2(l+b)=80 and l+b=40-------(1)

It is also given that the length is one metre more than twice the breadth..

So, l=2b+1--------(2)

Substituting eq (2) in (1)..

We get ,

2b+1+b=40

3b=39 and b=13------(3)

We know that l+b=40..

Substituting eq (3) in (1)..

We get l=27 units

Hence, l=27 and b=13
