To find the volume of a object using the displace to method you can try to have the water level at least be able to cover the object. One you see how many milk liters it increased by you can assume that is the volume the skinnier the tube is that you are using the displacement method , the more accurate the reading. The skinnier the tube is the more accurate the reading is. But the tube you are putting the object in still needs to be able to fit the object inside.
