Hi,

Breathing is a continuous process that involves both inhalation and exhalation. The process of taking in oxygen-rich air is known asinhalation, while the process of releasing carbon dioxide-rich air into the atmosphere is known asexhalation.

During inhalation, the diaphragm moves down and the ribs move upwards and outwards, thereby increasing the space in the chest cavity. This leads to the movement of air insidethe lungs.

During exhalation, the diaphragm moves to its former position and the ribs move downwards and inwards, thereby reducing the size of the chest cavity. This leads to the movement of air out of the lungs.Hope it is clear to you now

,Cheers!!

air is taken into the body through nostrils that filter Air by the fine hair that line it. air entering from the nostril lead to the nasal passage. it is responsible for conditioning of the air mainly then the air travels to trachea Air into the lungs. during inhalation diaphragm flattens and increase chest cavity so that air it sucked into the lungs while it relaxes during exhalation
