➴ y = 4x........(Equation [1])
After 5 years,
Age of meera = (x + 5) years.
Age of merra's mother = (y + 5) years.
➴ (y + 5) = 3(x + 5)............(Equation [2])
Now, Putting equation (1) in equation (2) we get :
➳ 4x + 5 = 3x + 15
➳ 4x - 3x = 15 - 5
➳ x = 10 years
Now, Putting the value of x = 10 in equation (1) we get :
➳ y = 4x
➳ y = 4(10)
➳ y = 40 years
Therefore,
Present Age of meera = 10 years.
Present Age of merra's mother = 40 years.
