(1) shahjanabad was a walled city but this was not the case with the new Delhi .

(2) Shhajanabad had crowded mohallas and mazes of narrow bylanes . But these were not found in new Delhi . There were broad straight streets lines with sprawling mansions set in the middle of large compounds.

(3) New Delhi had better water supply , sewage disposal and drainage facilities . It has trees and parks ensuring fresh air and adequate supply of oxygen . But in case of shahjanabad , there are not much of facilities in compare to new Delhi .
