A cell is found in living objects hence it is a living element, a brick however is not.

There are exchanges that occurs between each cells, the same cannot be said for bricks found in a wall.

For a cell to function properly it needs a constant source of energy, a brick does not require any such energy in order to function since it is a non-living object.

And the third and lastly Other than being the structural unit cells are also the functional units in the body of an organism Which is not in case of a brick
