Why do veins have thin walls compared to arteries?

Arteries mainly carry oxygenated blood from the heart to the other parts of the body.Thus the Arteries receive blood directly pumped from heart and because of this there is high pressure in Arteries. On the other hand Veins carry de-oxygenated blood from the different body parts back to the heart and they have very low pressure inside them.This is why veins have very thin walls compared to that of the arteries.

veins have thin walls compared to arteries because the blood flows with high pressure in arteries , due to high pressure the arteries may break down so they are thick

in veins blood flows  with low pressure so they are thin
