when dams are destroyed or water in dams is increased ,huge destruction of landforms occur,also dams are very costly to built ,it requires huge part of national income to build them ...
now it comes advantages. which are many as for hydroelectricity generation ,irrigation ,water storage in case of emergency ,natural replenishment of ground water
