The human brain is mainly divided in to three parts called as fore brain, mid brain and hind brain.

Fore brain consists of cerebrum , thalamus , hypothalamus. Mid brain and hind brain consists of cerebellum, medulla oblongata and pons.

Fore brain is the largest part of the brain, most of which is covered by the cerebrum, it also include hypothalamus, thalamus, and limbic system.

The main function of the fore brain is to control the body temperature, display of emotions, reproductive functions, eating and sleeping.

Further, fore brain is divided into thalamus, epithalamus, subthalamus, pretectum and telencephalon.
