India is a second most populated country in the world.Almost 22% of this humongous population is belonging below the poverty line.

To alleviate poverty ,our government is taking several steps.

Some of them are:

1)Jan Dhan Yojna is an initiative by our government to alleviate poverty in our country.

2) Government also provides financial aids and very low cost food materials for the extremely poor people.

Government has incorporated so many steps to eradicate poverty in the country.

But nearly 22% of the people in India are below poverty line.

The below poverty line people doesn’t get food, education, hospitals etc.,

In order to eradicate poverty the necessary steps that are taken by the government are,

i) Providing provisions at minimum price in rations

ii) free educations in government schools with mid-day meals

iii) good hospital facilities with latest instruments

iv) providing free higher education for professional courses

v) Diversification in agriculture
