Hello Dear!!!

Here's your answer....

The latitudinal extent of India is 8°4' to 37°6'.

The degree of latitudes changes from one place to other.

For example-

Arunachal pradesh and gujarat.

The time difference between them is 2 hours.

Because the latitudes are different.

The India consists of approximately 30 longitudes.

The earth takes 4 minutes to cross one longitude.

The extent of arunachal pradesh is 97°25'.

The extent of gujarat is 68°7'

The difference between them is 30°

So,we have 30 longitudes...

Earth takes 4 minutes .....

So,30×4=120 mins

So..The time difference between arunachal pradesh and gujarat is 2 hours...

This is because their longitudes are different....

So,by this example...We can conclude that latitudes and longitudes effect the time...

HERE'S YOUR ANSWER -

The latitudinal extent influences the duration of the day and night as one moves from south to north.

The length of day and night depends on whether the place is receiving direct sun rays or slanting rays. India is located in the northern hemisphere and due to its latitudinal position, it is a tropical country .The tropical part (peninsular India) of India being near to theequator has warm and tropical climatic conditions with no distinct winter. Sunrays walls directly on the places located on the equator while it falls slanting on the poles. Thus as the latitudes increases, the chances of change in day and night from place to place increases. That is why latitydnal extent influences the duration of day and night as one moves from south to north.
