When any element is combined with hydrogen, it forms a hydride.
Hydrogen is the one of the most common element and is found almost everywhere, so we can see hydrides everywhere.
Examples: The oxygen-hydrogen bond in water makes it a hydride.
The different types of hydride are ionic having ionic bonds like water, covalent having covalent bonds with hydrogens like hydrocarbons and interstitial having metallic bonding like metals like palladium.
