The various factors which prove that India is a developing country are low per capita income, very high population, high illiteracy rates, high unemployment, a high number of people living below the poverty line, a high number of malnutrition and hunger, etc.
EXPLANATION:
- India is a developing country because it is per capita income per person is very low as compared to other developed countries. Most of the workforce of India's labour are involved in primary sector but still, their income or maximum output from the agricultural sector is low.
- It is the second-most populous country in world with very high illiteracy rate which is why they are prone to exploitation, high population is not very easy to feed and that’s why there is a high rate of hunger and malnutrition. The population is very high and not sufficient jobs are created which leads to unemployment and a large number of people remain unemployed or employed in less paying jobs.
- The majority of people in rural areas of India do not have proper access to healthcare which suggests that the standard of living is also low. Because of all these factors, India is still ranked as developing country.
