Step-by-step explanation:

1st fan

CP = Rs 1500

SP = CP+ profit%

SP = 100 + 10%

= 110%

SP = Rs 1500 * (110/100)

= Rs 1650

profit= Rs (1650-1500)

= Rs 150

2nd fan

CP = Rs 1500

SP= CP - LOSS%

SP = 100 - 5%

= 95%

SP = Rs 1500 * (95/100)

= Rs 1425

Loss = Rs (1500 - 1425)

= Rs 75

Profit > loss

Total Profit= Rs (150- 75)

= Rs 75

2nd Method

profit on 1st fan= 10% of Rs 1500

= Rs 150

Loss on 2nd fan= 5% of Rs 1500

= Rs 75

Profit> loss

profit= Rs (150-75)

= Rs 75
