Meteors entering the atmosphere usually burn up in the layer called mesosphere

Mᴇsᴏsᴘʜᴇʀᴇ is the layer which is above the stratosphere, and below the thermosphere. It protects the Earth from meteors and comets. Due to pressure from the upper layers, the meteors gets depressed and it's temperature rises. Now due to its high speed and temperature while coming, it burns in the air, so nothing is left.
