MgSO4 is water soluble whereas BaSO4 is water insoluble..why??

MgSO4 is water soluble whereas BaSO4 is water insoluble because magnesium is smaller as compare to barium in size and hence due big size of bariumit leaves ppt in water and thats why barium sulphate is insoluble in water
