Just look at the change in oxidation number, in case of oxidation there will be rise in oxidation number and vise versa.
Reactant Product
Mn = +4 Mn = +2
O = -2 Cl = -1 ( in MnCl₂)
H= +1 H= +1
Cl = -1 O = -2
Cl = 0 ( in Cl₂)
So, HCl is oxidized to Cl₂ and MnO₂ is reduced to MnCl₂
