Yes I agree that modern farming methods require more inputs which are manufactured in industry.

Modern farming methods require inputs such a Farm machinery, fertilizers HYV seeds, pesticides, Canals, pump sets, diesel etc that can be manufactured only in industries.

Modern farming methods require both working as well as the capital. Thus, the farmers require more cash than before to start with farming.

The farmers of Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh was the first to try the modern farming methods in India.

Answer:

Hey friend,

yes.

In terms of financial input, yes. modern farming requires more of it for the purpose of buying the latest technology.

In terms of physical, no. because when technology comes in, physical effort is reduced to minimum. one only needs to think smartly.

Manufactured inputs are those which require a lot of capital due to their specific working and if one walks on the ready made industry path, then other ways works less efficiently.

Thanks for asking.
