Well, I'm not from DPS Eldeco. However I have my own reasoning.
1) Nowadays, HYVs i.e. high yielding varieties of seeds are in the trend.
2) Due to high competition in the market, farmers need to increase their produce per hectare. In order to do so they require:
a) Chemicals like pesticides, fertilizers, etc.
b) Equipment like tractors.
c) In some cases, more labour.
3) Always due to continual division of land due to inheritance, more money is needed to get a bountiful harvest from small tracks of land.
Hope it helps you.

Hey there!
Modern farming methods requires the farmer to start with more cash then before because now there is a use of chemical fertilizers in a big amount. If we did not use fertilizers then the some insects attack on the crop. No one making the natural fertilizers these days. They use chemical fertilizers because it gives a good result. They increase the production. That's why farmer need lot of money for farming.
