The suicides of farmers in India is a big issue.The factors responsible for it are- droughts, floods, high debts, defective government policies, family pressure etc.

The Government has taken steps such as -increased MSP by 1.5 times, loan waivers, Atal Bhujal Yojna scheme, groundwater will be conserve efficiently and will provide adequate amount of water for the use of agriculture purpose to help the farmers in distress.

But the cases of farmer suicides in India do not seem to come down. The Government needs to focus on their income and productivity to ensure their prosperity.
