Given, chocolates distributed by Mrs.Mala between hee two sons are in the ratio 3 : 4

Let the common multiple be x

Let the part of 1st son be 3x and 2nd son be 4x

Total chocolates = 14

According to the question,

3x + 4x = 14

➾ 7x = 14

➾ x = 2

∴ Chocolates given to 1st son ➾ 3x

➾ 3 × 2
