mrs. sharma has a rectangular grassy lawn measuring 30m by 28m. She wants to construct a path to be surrounded externally of width 2m. Find the cost of lavelling the path at the rate of Rs. 5 per square mete

Area of the lawn=30*28
=840 m
Area of the lawn and the path=(30+4)*(28+4)
=34*32
=1088 m
therefore
area of the path =1088-840
=248 m
cost of gravelling the path=248*5
=1240 rupees
