The Mughal Empire must survive at the Shah Jahan/Aurangazeb levels, not Shah Alam II/Bahadur Shah II levels. In other words, it must survive as a centralized, pan-India power, with a reasonable resemblance to its "days of glory". The British (or any other foreign entity) must not be allowed to build an empire in India.
