For the multiplication ; we need to multiply the terms as well as the variables .

The process is :

\small{\longrightarrow{\sf{(4 \times 5 \times 9)}}}

\small{\longrightarrow{\sf{x \times y \times z \times x \times y \times z}}}

Bringing the terms together :

\small{\longrightarrow{\sf{180{x}^{2}{y}^{2}{z}^{2}}}}

Supplementary information :

  • If the terms to be multiplied are like terms we can directly multiply the constants and simply join the variables with them.

  • If the terms are unlike ; we can separately multiply the constants and then add the variables.

  • Note that the variables when multiplied add up the powers.
  • Eg : y × y = y^2

Answer:

Given:

  • 4xy , 5yz , 9xz.

Find:

  • Multiply the given.

Calculations:

⇢ 4xy (5)yz (9)xz

⇢ 180 x² y² z²

⇢ x × y × y × z × x × z

That's,

⇢ 4 × 5 × 9

⇢ 180

Therefore, 180 x² y² z² is the required answer.
