x=13/2 and y=7/2

Step-by-step explanation:

let both the numbers be x and y.

then x+y=10 ..... eqn1

and x-y=3...... eqn2

solving both the equations, we get

2x=13, therefore x=13/2

Putting value if x in any of these equations we get y=7/2
