because Mg+ have more protons so its internuclear force will be more than that of Na and so Mg + requires more energy to loose its e- than Na

This is because of the higher ionization energy of Mg+ ion than Na since when Mg loses one electron it has 12 protons and 11 electrons which makes it very stable and a large amount of energy will be required for further removal of electron from Mg+ whereas Na can easily donate or remove one electron to form Na+ ion.

Hence, Na and Mg+ have same number of electron but removal of electron from mg+ requires more energy.
