METHYLATED SPIRIT OR DENATURED ALCOHOL : Alcohol is denatured by the addition of poisonous substances such as methyl alcohol, acetone or pyridine and some colouring metals such as copper sulphate. Such a sample of alcohol is called methylated spirit or denatured alcohol.
