A non-nucleated cell present in human blood that is called RBC or the red blood corpuscles.

They contain the haemoglobin that transfers ‘oxygen’ from the ‘lungs’ to other organelles of the body. Since they require space to carry the oxygen they do not have nucleus.

They are cells that have a ‘life span’ of about 120 days. After their life time they change their plasma membrane and thereby make them susceptible to attack by the macrophages.
