About 200 years after India's freedom, India is still not independent from the  social inequalities and taboos prevalent in today's society.

Although, we claim to be "modern" yet there still exist narrow-minded people in the very heart of India i.e. the rural areas, where people still consider women to be inferior than men. Cases of female foeticide are still on the rise. The government has been unsuccessful in fully eradicating the evil practices such as  child marriage and sati from the society. Girls are still considered a burden and the safety of women has been put at a high stake. Cases of molestation, sexual abuse and rape have been rapidly increasing over the past years. There exists a lot of gender inequality in our country.

Poverty is another important social issue which has resulted in malnutrition in under-aged children and has also resulted in starvation due to hunger.

Corruption is on the rise. With corrupt netas around, the proper functioning of the Indian administration is not possible.

The people from the backward castes still don't get all the facilities they approach for..There still exists discrimination between the rich and the poor in some parts of the country. There lacks equality to opportunity to all the sections of the society. Social equality has become a concerning issue in India now.....

Here is a humble request to  all my Indian Friends  to join their hands together and work for the betterment of India...For, a better India, we must be the"Change"....We, the youth of India must be the revolution ourselves.....!
