"Hydrogen bonding occurs between (i) hydrogen and chlorine (ii) hydrogen and fluorine (iii) hydrogen and nitrogen"

( a) CH_3 COOH and C_2H_6: Acetic acid CH_3 COOH  shows hydrogen bonding.

(b) PH_3 and NH_3: Ammonia NH_3  shows hydrogen bonding.

(c) Ortho nitrophenol and meta nitrophenol : Ortho nitrophenol show intramolecular hydrogen bonding whereas meta nitrophenol show intermolecular hydrogen bonding.

(d) HF and HCl : Hydrofluoric acid HF shows hydrogen bonding.

(e) C_2H_5OH and CH_4:  C_2H_5OH  shows hydrogen bonding.
