Phloem consists of four elements i.e. sieve tubes, companion cells, phloem Parenchyma and phloem fibers.

Phloem fibers are the dead components or dead elements present in phloem.

In overall, the phloem tissue consists of many conducting cells, and these can be identified as sieve tube elements, companion cells, parenchyma cells, supportive cells, certain cells that are unspecialised in their forms etc.

In terms of supportive cells, they contain sclereids and also phloem fibers.
