Muscles are further divided into 3 types:
- skeletal or striated muscle : These muscles can volunteer themselves so are called voluntary muscles. Eg.: bladder, intestine etc.
- smooth or non striated muscle: These muscles can not volunteer themselves. Living beings (eg.: Human beings) need to volunteer them. Eg.: Hand, Leg etc.
- cardiac muscle: These muscles are only found in heart. They have both the characteristics of the skeletal and smooth muscles.
