When acid reacts with base , it liberates salt and water.
It is called Neutralization Reaction.


NaOH + HCL -------> NaCl + H2O
[base]    [acid]           [salt]     [water]

. When an acid reacts with an alkali salt (ametal hydroxide), the product is a metal salt and water. Acid–alkali reactions are also neutralization reactions.
