Himalayas plays a vital role in protecting our India. it acts as a barrier protecting India from cold winds coming from north. it provide perennial rivers for better agriculture. indo-gangetic plains which is formed due to those perennial rivers is choosen by many people for better livelihood.

-It also helps in the coming of monsoon winds
