Different type of motifs were painted in Islamic architecture in india.
Most of the time various floral patterns are used in the arches by sultans.
Also the "lotus bridge fringe " are greatly used specially in the inner side of arches .
More,over some times the some walls of arches are beautified with help of painting of some trees like Cypress, Chinar etc.
