The two members of Dar Committee are i) Fazal Ali, ii) K.M.Panikkar.
There was a petition from different areas, mainly South India, for restructuring of States on language basis.
Therefore, in June 1948, the Government of India selected the Linguistic Provinces Commission under the chairmanship of S.K. Dhar to review the viability of organizing states on Language basis.
This was called the dhar or Dar committee.
