New agenda of public health in India includes epidemic infections, demographic infections, environmental changes and social determinants of health. Based on the principles outlined in Alma-Ata in 1978, to meet these challenges, there is an immediate call to revive primary health care. The role of the government in influencing population health is not limited to the health sector, but is also not limited by the different areas outside health systems. This article is a literature review of current government machinery for India's public health needs, its success, boundaries and future prospects. Capacity building and regulation in strengthening the health system, human resource development and public health are important areas within the health sector. Contribution to the health of the population is derived from the social determinants of health, living conditions, nutrition, safe drinking water, sanitation, education, early child development and social security measures. There are other important areas for population stabilization, gender mainstream and empowerment, reducing the impact of climate change and health disasters, improving community involvement and action in governance issues. Making Public Health A common value is a political challenge in different areas, but such a mass action is important.

Public facilities are those administered by the authority, preferably of by people or private sources. For this reason, they may be either extremely subsidized or completely free of cost. They are important because poor  ppopulation do not have enough revenue to be able to avail facilities produced by the private sector, ending in challenges faced like incompetent healthcare, poor nourishment, etc.

One of the most important public facility is the Public Distribution System (PDS) which contributes to a fair ordinary quality of foodgrains and other necessary articles to the backward sections of depopulation at subsidized payments. The other is healthcare in administration hospitals and dispensaries, which is commanded to all at subsidized rates. This combines hospitalization and outpatient facilities.
