• Gujarat is the largest natural gas producing area in India.

• Assam state has the greatest percentage in natural gas production. It has percentage share of 31.73%.  

• The areas like Tripu, Jharkand, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan also India’s natural gas producing areas.

• The western offshore areas are highly natural gas producing areas in India.
