Answer:

Rain in the night , by Amelia Burr is a poem about Rain, In the poem Rain in the night, Burr states that rain can be loud or soft "just like a song" and when it rains, the rain water feels up gutters and rivers and the streets, which indeed will make he "lazy kitty wash his feet" when the kitty steps in the water his paws will become clean, Burr speaks of how the rain leaves dewdrops on roses and the glistening of the drops look like diamonds on a royal court ladies neck  but when the rain leaves dewdrops on pansies it just makes them all muddy because pansies are short and closer to the ground the mud splashes up. In the end Burr speaks of tomorrow and how shell explore the new rivers created by the rain, but before anything else shell wash the mud off of the pansies
