Answer:

(6,8)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the circle be of the form x^{2} + y^{2} +2gx + 2fy + c = 0\\,

Let point Q = (x1,y1) be the point of intersection of the tangents.

Now, the equation of the chord joining point of contacts of two tangents from the point Q ==>

xx1 + yy1 + g(x+x1) + f(y+y1) + c = 0

So we need the point x1,y1 in this question.

In this case, g=0 and f=0.

So the equation of the chord joining the points =

xx1+yy1 -24 = 0

Now, you are given the line 3x+4y-12 = 0

So ideally this is the same as the equation of the chord. Why?

Because, this line cuts the circle at two points and we are drawing the tangents from these two points to Q, so that q is the point of intersection. So this line has the equation of the chord.

Therefore x1 / 3 = y1 / 4 = -24/-12

so x1 = 3*2 = 6 and y=4*2 = 8
