negative impacts of decentralization are:

✯ there are no uniform policies: particular person in charge will frame policies according to his thoughts and ideas.
✯ financial burden becomes much more: as the local issues keep on arising.
✯ no more co-ordination: people in charge does whatever he/ she wants to in order to look after local issues.
✯ can cause conflicts: local issues are the ones which need to be settled properly. if they do not settle properly they may lead to conflicts.


positive impacts of decentralization

✯ reduces burden of the government: state government doesn't need to look after local affairs.
✯ problem can be solved efficiently: local issues are settled well when dealt by particular individual who is good at solving issues.
✯ results in development of country: as the issues of local areas are settled it ultimately leads to development of the country.
