According the conditions of a and b division = a+b = 13900;

Simple Interest formula = PRT/100;

(a*14*2/100) + (b*11*2/100) = 3508;

0.28a + 0.22b = 3508;

Now solving this two equations;

0.28a + 0.22b = 3508;

a+b = 13900;;

 We get a = 7500 and b = 6400;

Answer- Rs. 6400 invested by b

"We can take the sum spent in A scheme as Rs. X.  The value of scheme B is Rs. 13900-x.

When we substitute the values in the following formula, we can get the following step.

Then,   x x 14 x 2   +   (13900 - x) x 11 x 2   = 3508

 100    100

= 28x - 22x = 350800 - (13900 x 22)

6x= 45000

X=45000/6

x= 7500.

So, sum spent in Scheme B = Rs. (13900 - 7500) = Rs. 6400.
