Nita heard the sound of lightning after 4 second of seeing it. What was the distance of the lightning from her?

speed = distance / time

distance = speed*time

speed =340m/s

time=4s

distance = 340*4

=1360m

so the lighting is 1360 metres away from Nita.

Let x be the source point from the sound has emmited and y be the point of you ear

time taken is equal to 4 seconds and speed of sound in air is 330m/s so distance will be product of speed and time then

distance=speed of sound × time taken

distance =330×4=1320m
